One day my dog was run over a by a car in our yard and died. This was a major blow for me. Katharina Maiss offered to perform a ritual which helps the animal’s soul to pass. This idea was comforting to me. My dog was old – but he was far from ready to die. After the ritual, Ms Maiss told me that Feivel had sent me a farewell greeting: he had come up to me and licked my calves. Katharina couldn’t have known that this had been his little morning ritual with me. I was very moved by this, and it gave me some solace.
